เรื่องราวของ เกรซ เดวิส (เทรซี เอลลิส รอสส์) ศิลปินระดับตำนาน เกรซ คือซุปตาร์ที่มีทั้งความสามารถและอัตตาในขั้นสุดเธออยู่ท่ามกลางของโลกดนตรีสุดแพรวพราวของลอสแองเจลิส โดยมี แม็กกี้ เชอร์วู้ด (ดาโกต้า จอห์นสัน) ผู้ช่วยส่วนตัวที่ทำงานหนักเกินตัวคอยทำธุระเรื่องต่าง ๆ ให้เธอ แต่แม็กกี้ก็ยังมีแรงบันดาลใจอยากเป็นโปรดิวเซอร์เพลง ซึ่งเป็นความฝันตั้งแต่วัยเด็กเมื่อผู้จัดการของเกรซ (ไอซ์ คิวบ์) เสนอทางเลือกให้ เกรซ ปรับแผนอาชีพของเธอทั้ง แม็กกี้ และ เกรซ จึงมาสู่การวางแผนที่จะเปลี่ยนเส้นทางชีวิตไปตลอดกาล!!!
