เรื่องย่อ The Father (2020)

เมื่อ แอนโทนี่ (แอนโทนี่ ฮ็อปกินส์) อายุย่าง 80 และหยิบจับอะไรไม่ถนัด แอนน์ (โอลิเวีย โคลแมน) ลูกสาวที่ห่วงพ่อมากกว่าอะไรทั้งหมดจึงตัดสินใจจ้างคนมาดูแลแต่นั่นกลับไม่ใช่สิ่งที่ผู้เป็นพ่อต้องการเขายืนยันหัวชนฝาว่าตนเองยังไหว และสามารถจัดการชีวิตอันเปลี่ยวเหงาในแฟลตส่วนตัวอันกว้างขวางได้เหมือนที่เคยเป็นมาแต่ความชรานั้นไม่ปรานีมันค่อยๆ เข้ามารุกคืบ แอนโทนี่ ทีละน้อย ร้ายแรงที่สุดคือความทรงจำที่คล้ายจะสับสนปนเปและแยกแยะไม่ได้ว่าสิ่งไหนคือความจริงสิ่งไหนคือความฟั่นเฟือนเมื่อถึงจุดที่ยึดถืออะไรรอบกายไม่ได้อีก แอนโทนี่ จึงย้อนกลับมาตั้งคำถามถึงการมีอยู่ของตนเองพร้อม ๆ กันนั้น แอนน์ ก็ต้องทำใจยอมรับว่าพ่อกำลังจะจากเธอไปแล้วแม้ร่างกายของพ่อจะยังนั่งอยู่ข้าง ๆ เธอก็ตาม!!!
