Little Women เป็นภาพยนตร์ที่ดัดแปลงมาจากนวนิยายชื่อเดียวกันที่ต ีพิมพ์ในปี 1868 จากผลงานเขียนของนักเขียนหญิง Louisa May Alcott ว่าด้วยเรื่องราวของ 4 พี่น้องตระกูล March ที่ตัดสินใจออกจากบ้านเดิมของครอบครัวมาใช้ชีวิตกันเอง จากตัวอย่างภาพยนตร์เราจะได้เห็นว่าพวกเธอมีความฝัน Jo March (เซียร์ช่า โรแนน) อยากเป็นนักเขียน, Meg March (เอ็มม่า วัตสัน) อยากเป็นนักแสดง, Amy March (ฟลอเรนซ์ พิวจ์) อยากเป็นจิตรกรและ Beth March น้องสาวตัวน้อย สิ่งที่ทั้ง 4 คนต้องเผชิญและเป็นเหมือนกับแก่นของเรื่องก็คือ การต่อสู้กับกรอบของสังคมที่วัดความสำเร็จของผู้หญิงจากการแต่งงาน Little Women เป็นอีกหนึ่งภาพยนตร์ที่จะเล่าเรื่องราวการก้าวข้ามว ัยหรือ Coming of age ของวัยรุ่นสู่การเป็นผู้ใหญ่เพราะฉะนั้นนี่จึงไม่ใช่ภาพยนตร์ที่เหมาะสมสำหรับคนท ี่ชื่นชอบภาพยนตร์ดราม่าทั่ว ๆ ไปเท่านั้นแต่นี่เป็นภาพยนตร์อีกเรื่องที่น่าสนใจสำหรับเด็กผู้ หญิงทุกคน เพื่อตอกย้ำให้รู้ว่าการแต่งงานไม่ใช่ตัววัดความสำเร็จหรือคุณค่าเสมอไป หลุดออกจากกรอบเก่า ๆ ไปพร้อม ๆ กันกับ Little Women!!!
