หนุ่มวัยรุ่น เดฟ ไลซูว์สกี้ (แอรอน จอห์นสัน) แฟนพันธุ์แท้หนังสือการ์ตูนซูเปอร์ฮีโร่ที่ตัดสินใจนำความหลงใหลของตัวเองมาเป็นแรงบันดาลใจสร้างตัวเขาให้เป็นซูเปอร์ฮีโร่ในชีวิตจริง ตามธรรมเนียมของซูเปอร์ฮีโร่ทั่วไป เขาตั้งฉายาให้ตัวเองว่า คิกแอส เขาออกแบบตัดชุดเอง หาหน้ากากมาใส่ แล้วออกไปปราบเหล่าร้าย เขาติดปัญหาอยู่อย่างเดียวนั่นคือ คิกแอสไม่มีซูเปอร์พาวเวอร์อะไรเลย แต่ชีวิตเขาก็เปลี่ยนไปไม่มีวันเหมือนเดิม เมื่อเขาจุดประกายให้พวกกลุ่มที่ชอบเลียนแบบคนดัง เขาได้พบกับคู่พ่อ-ลูกที่ตั้งตัวเป็นผู้ผดุงความยุติธรรมชนิดบ้าดีเดือด นั่นคือ สาวน้อยมหาประลัยแสบเกินวัย 11 ขวบฉายา ฮิทเกิร์ล (โคลอี้ มอเรทซ์) และพ่อของเธอ บิ๊กแด๊ดดี้ (นิโคลัส เคจ) นอกจากนี้เขายังได้พบมิตรภาพใหม่กับมือปราบเหล่าร้ายมือใหม่ เร้ด มิสต์ (คริสโตเฟอร์ มินตซ์ แพลสส์) ก๊วนยอดมนุษย์กลุ่มใหม่นี้ต้องผจญภัยกับบททดสอบสุดท้าทายเมื่อต้องทำลายแผนการชั่วร้ายของมาเฟีย
