เรื่องย่อ The Comeback Trail (2020)

เป็นผลงานสร้างใหม่จากฉบับของปี 1982 เล่าเรื่องของแม็กซ์(โรเบิร์ต เดอ นิโร) ผู้อำนวยการสร้างหนังที่จำเป็นต้องใช้หนี้ก้อนโตให้เจ้าพ่อ(มอร์แกน ฟรีแมน) เขาจึงวางแผนที่จะจ้างดาราวัยดึก ดู๊ค มอนทาน่า(ทอมมี ลี โจนส์) มาเล่นหนังคาวบอยทุนต่ำของตัวเอง เพื่อหวังที่จะฆ่าเขาในระหว่างการถ่ายทำและได้เงินประกันมาจ่ายหนี้ แต่ทว่าเรื่องราวกลับไปไกลกว่าที่จินตนาการเอาไว้
