เรื่องย่อ Stake Land (2010) โคตรแดนเถื่อน ล้างพันธุ์ซอมบี้

ประเทศอเมริกาล่มสลายลงเนื่องจากถูกเล่นงานโดยเหล่าแ วมไพร์ครึ่งซอมบี้จอมกระหายเลือดที่เพิ่มจำนวนขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว ส่งผลให้บ้านเมืองรกร้าง ไร้ขื่อแป มนุษย์ที่หลงเหลืออยู่จำนวนน้อยนิดต่างก็พยายามเอาตัวรอด บ้างก็รวมตัวกันอาศัยอยู่ตามชนบท บ้างก็พยายามขึ้นเหนือไปแคนาดาเพราะเชื่อว่าที่นั่นจะยังอยู่รอดปลอดภัยอยู่ บ้างก็ทำตัวเลวเที่ยวข่มเหงฆ่าฟันมนุษย์ด้วยกันเองก็ยังมีคืนหนึ่งครอบครัวของหนุ่มน้อย Martin (พ่อหนุ่ม Connor Paolo จากซีรี่ย์ Gossip Girl)โดนแวมไพร์ซอมบี้ฆ่าเรียบ ส่วนเขารอดมาได้เพราะได้รับการช่วยเหลือจากนักล่าแวม ไพร์มาดโหดที่รู้จักกันในนาม Mister ซึ่งทั้งคู่ก็ได้กระเตงกันออกเดินทางขึ้นเหนือ ซึ่งระหว่างทางก็ได้พบเจอกับเรื่องราวต่างๆ มากมาย ให้ท่านได้ลุ้นว่าพวกเขาจะไปถึงฝั่งฝันกันได้หรือไม่กันต่อไป

นับว่าผลงานหนังสยองขวัญทุนต่ำของ ผกก.Jim Mickle (Mulberry Street [2006]) เรื่องนี้ ออกมาดีเกินโหงวเฮ้งจริงๆ ด้วยอารมณ์ที่จับเอาหนังแนว Post-Apocalyptic (หลังวันสิ้นโลก) อย่าง The Road (2009) มาผสมกับหนังแนวแวมไพร์ลูกครึ่งซอมบี้ และหนังแนวโร้ดมูวี่ไปยันหนังแนวก้าวพ้นวัย จนออกมาเป็นส่วนผสมที่น่าสนใจไปอีกแบบ แถมงานทุกด้านยังดูดีเกินหน้าเกินตาหนังแนวนี้ทั่วๆ ไปอีกด้วยแน่ะ ซึ่งบางฉากนี่แสดงให้เห็นถึงฝีมือของคนสร้างอย่างเห็นได้ชัดจนน่าจีบไปทำหนังทุนหนากว่านี้จริงๆ (คิดว่าเดี๋ยวคงอีกไม่นานหรอกมั้ง)
